William Young provides state-wide extension leadership in production and management of grass and forage seed crops. This includes development of educational programs addressing post-harvest management and assisting extension agents in planning, establishing, and evaluating demonstration trials and adaptive research studies. He assumes leadership for preparing the annual seed production research report to the industry. In addition he is responsible for applied research in seed production agronomy investigating factors affecting yield and/or yield components of forage, turf grass, and legume seed crops.
